2 Samuel 22:36; 2 Corinthians 10:1

Gentleness is a form of wisdom — it knows when to speak, when to be still, and how to move with grace. Across every generation God teaches His children the same lesson — gentleness is not weakness, it is wisdom. He taught David. He taught the Corinthian church. And He is teaching you.

This Week's Practice

Every morning this week begin with this prayer — "Lord, You have been teaching Your children gentleness since the beginning. Teach me today. Where I want to react — make me wise. Where I want to force — make me gentle. Amen." Then watch how God shows up in your interactions.

Wednesday

David was a man of war — but he was also a man after God's own heart. He won his battles not through force alone but because he understood that God's gentleness toward him was meant to flow through him to the people under his care. If God is gentle — David knew he must be too.

A Question to Sit With

Where this week have you been tempted to use force, pressure or harsh words — and what would it look like to let God's gentleness lead instead?

Friday

Prayer

Lord, You have been teaching Your children gentleness since the beginning. Teach me today. Where I want to react — make me wise. Where I want to force — make me gentle. Amen.

Weekend Nudge

This weekend — think of one situation where you have been pushing hard. What would it look like to lay that down and let God's gentleness lead?

Journal
  1. Where did you experience God's gentleness toward you this week?
  2. Was there a moment where you chose to respond gently instead of reactively? What happened?
  3. As you head into the weekend what is one relationship where God is calling you to lead with gentleness?
