SMS Terms & Opt-In Policy

Program Description

The Quiet Bread devotional text program (the “Program”) sends short, scripture-centered devotionals and reflection prompts by SMS to subscribers who have opted in. The Program is operated by Quiet Bread and delivered through Twilio.

How to Opt In (Consent)

You enroll in the Program by entering your mobile phone number into the subscription form on quietbread.com and tapping “Subscribe to Quiet Bread” (or a similar button). Directly above that button, the form displays the following consent language:

“By entering your phone number and tapping Subscribe, you agree to receive recurring automated devotional text messages from Quiet Bread at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message & data rates may apply. Message frequency varies (up to 7/week). Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. See our SMS Policy and Privacy Policy.”

We retain a timestamped record of each opt-in (date, time, IP address, and the phone number submitted). We do not enroll any number that did not personally submit the form.

Sample Messages

Examples of the messages subscribers receive:

  • “Quiet Bread: ‘Be still, and know that I am God.’ — Psalm 46:10. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Msg&data rates may apply.”
  • “Quiet Bread morning verse: ‘The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.’ — Psalm 23:1. Reply STOP to cancel.”
  • “Quiet Bread devotional texts. Reply STOP to cancel. Msg&data rates may apply. notify@quietbread.com” (HELP auto-reply)

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies, typically up to 7 messages per week (one daily morning devotional, occasional weekly reflection). Frequency may be lower depending on the plan you select.

Cost

Quiet Bread does not charge for the Program. Message and data rates may applyfrom your wireless carrier. Check your mobile plan for details.

How to Opt Out

You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and you will receive no further messages unless you opt in again.

Other accepted opt-out keywords: STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT.

Carriers & Liability

Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, and most other U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

We will not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are used only to deliver the Program. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Changes

We may update this SMS Policy. Material changes will be noted here with a new “Last updated” date.
