My Strength

The joy of the Lord is not a feeling — it is your strength that holds you steady when everything else is uncertain.

Monday

Nehemiah 8:10; Romans 15:13

The joy of the Lord is not a feeling — it is your strength. When everything else is uncertain His joy holds you steady.

This Week's Practice

Each time you feel your strength draining this week — stop and pray — "Lord, fill me with Your joy. Let it be my strength right now." Not tomorrow. Right now.

Wednesday

We were never meant to manufacture strength on our own. God's joy is the fuel — and it is available to us every single moment we turn to Him.

A Question to Sit With

Where this week has your strength felt most depleted — and have you turned to God's joy as your source or tried to push through on your own?

Friday

Prayer

Lord, fill me afresh with Your joy this weekend. Where I am running on empty — be my strength. Where I am weary — be my song. Amen.

Weekend Nudge

This weekend — rest is not laziness. It is trust. Choose one intentional act of restoration and let God refill what the week emptied. Take a walk and enjoy what He created. Get a manicure or pedicure and simply breathe. Spend unhurried time with family or a good friend. Sit outside in the quiet with no agenda. Cook a meal you enjoy and savor it slowly. Whatever restores you — do that. God meets us in our rest.

Journal
  1. Where did God's joy show up as strength for you this week?
  2. Was there a moment you tried to push through in your own strength instead of turning to Him? What happened?
  3. As you close this week how will you intentionally draw from God's joy as your source this weekend?
